Stardate 5693.4 - Kirk, Spock and McCoy beam aboard the U.S.S. Defiant, adrift in space, and find that her entire crew is dead. The Defiant is caught in an interphase between alternate universes, and although Spock and McCoy beam back safely, Kirk becomes trapped between dimensions! Then aliens called Tholians accuse the Enterprise of trespassing into their space and begin weaving and incredible energy web around the supership.
"The Tholian Web" was conceived when writer Judy Burns went looking for a new angle on ghost stories. A physics student suggested she somehow use the theory of infinite dimensions, and out of that came Burns's script, which finds Captain Kirk (William Shatner) trapped between different kinds of space, floating in and out of view of the Enterprise crew.
Star Trek 9" Captain James Kirk in Environmental Suit As Seen in Star Trek Original Series Episode "The Tholian Web"
This Star Trek Mr. Spock in Environmental Suit action figure was produced in 1998 by Playmates exclusively for sale in Target stores. The action figure stands approximately 9" tall.
On Stardate 5693.2, the U.S.S. Enterprise found the missing starship U.S.S. Defiant caught in a spatial interphase. Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and Ensign Chekov beamed over and found that all of the crew members had killed each other. The Enterprise began to lose power. Kirk remained behind while the others returned to the Enterprise. When the Defiant disappeared, Kirk was trapped in the spatial interphase and caught between universes.
1/650 Scale. The classic Star Trek TV show featured many memorable episodes. This release of the classic AMT Enterprise commemorates the fan favorite episode, "The Tholian Web". The episode featured the Enterprise's sister ship, the U.S.S. Defiant as a mysterious glowing ghost ship. This kit is injected in glow in the dark plastic and includes decals to allow the ship to be decorated as the Defiant or one of several other Constitution class star ships.
