Johnny Cash Music Festival
Tom Russell has been called America's greatest living songwriter.a worthy heir to Johnny Cash. In the spring of 2004, Russell rounded up a group of world-class musicians (Andrew Hardin, Hot Club of Cowtown, Fats Kaplin & Kristi Rose) for a rolling folk festival that stretched across the vast landscapes of Canada. Starting with a rousing concert in Vancouver (where Russell's musical career began) performers and fans boarded the last great vintage streamline train still operating in North America and shared a one-of-a-kind roots music experience.
This documentary captures a Johnny Cash tribute concert featuring an all-star line-up of performers that includes Roseanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones, and Rodney Crowell. The setlist of over two-dozen songs features "Me and Bobby McGee," "If I were a Carpenter," "Five Feet High and Rising," and "Wind Beneath My Wings.". Closed-Captioned.
