Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Academy Award winning director Robert Zemeckis began making films with an 8mm camera while still in high school. A graduate of USC's School of Cinema, he made his directorial debut in 1978 with I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and has since proven himself time and again as one of the most talented filmmakers in Hollywood.
