This somewhat unpleasant 1992 sequel to the blockbuster Home Alone revisits the first film's gimmick by stranding Macaulay Culkin's character in New York City while his family ends up somewhere else. Again, the little guy meets up with colourful people on the margins of society (including a pigeon woman played by Brenda Fricker) and again he gets into a prop-heavy battle with Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern.

During World War II, steady daylight bombing by the Americans was crucial in defeating the German military; however, it came at a significant cost. In the European Theater alone, nearly 20,000 airmen were killed, 8,400 were wounded, and 35,000 were missing or captured. Thirty-two percent of all bomber crews were lost. Those who were captured were interned at prisoner of war camps spread across Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and East Prussia.

As it's aged, it's become current affairs." Just 20 years ago it seemed impossible that Scotland would ever get home rule, let alone full independence.

Shelter, like many other elements of human existence, comes at an extraordinary cost to our planet and its inhabitants. In the U.S. alone, construction of 1.2 million new homes a year results in a massive drain on Earth's natural resource base. Today, nearly 60 percent of all timber cut in the U.S. is used in building houses, not to mention construction wastes and the huge amounts of resources used in the day-to-day operation of the "modern" household.
